A quick and easy frozen strawberry margarita recipe without alcohol, perfect for a light, festive, and refreshing drink on warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (about 300g) frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) simple syrup
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) cold water or sparkling water
  • 1 cup (about 240g) ice cubes
  • a pinch of salt
  • Optional garnishes: lime wedges, fresh strawberries, or a salt rim for glasses

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glasses by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping them into coarse salt. Set aside.
  2. Freshly squeeze enough limes to get 1/4 cup (60ml) of juice.
  3. Add 2 cups frozen strawberries, 1/4 cup fresh lime juice, 2 tablespoons simple syrup, 1/2 cup cold or sparkling water, 1 cup ice cubes, and a pinch of salt into the blender.
  4. Pulse the blender on medium-high speed for 30 to 45 seconds until smooth but thick and slushy. Adjust thickness by adding water or ice cubes as needed.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more simple syrup or lime juice, blending briefly again if needed.
  6. Pour into prepared glasses, garnish with a lime wedge or fresh strawberry, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries for best texture. Pulse blend to avoid melting ice too much. Add a pinch of salt to enhance flavors. Chill glasses for longer-lasting cold drinks. Adjust sweetness and tartness to taste. For a sparkling twist, use sparkling water and add just before serving.
