These Quick Spiderweb Sriracha Deviled Eggs are a spooky, spicy twist on a classic appetizer. With a simple sriracha spiderweb design, they look impressive but come together in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (for thinning sriracha)

Instructions

  1. Hard-boil the eggs: Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan, cover with cold water by an inch. Bring to a rolling boil, cover, turn off heat, and let sit for 12 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath for at least 5 minutes.
  2. Peel the eggs carefully: Tap each egg to crack the shell, roll between palms, and peel starting from the wider end. Rinse and pat dry.
  3. Slice eggs in half lengthwise with a sharp knife. Remove yolks to a mixing bowl. Arrange whites on a serving platter.
  4. Make the filling: Add 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon yellow mustard, 1 tablespoon sriracha, 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon white vinegar (if using) to the yolks. Mash until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fill the egg whites: Spoon filling into a piping bag or zip-top bag with a corner snipped off. Pipe into each egg white, mounding slightly.
  6. Make the spiderweb design: Mix 1 tablespoon mayonnaise with 1-2 teaspoons sriracha. Transfer to a squeeze bottle or tiny zip-top bag. Pipe a small dot in the center of each filled egg, then a spiral outward. Drag a toothpick from center to edge in 4-6 evenly spaced lines to create the web pattern.
  7. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with smoked paprika. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 4 hours.

Notes

For perfect hard-boiled eggs, use eggs that are at least a week old. The spiderweb pattern can be practiced on a plate first. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days; do not freeze.
