A quick and easy buffalo chicken dip with a stunning spiderweb design that looks fancy but requires minimal effort. Perfect for game days, potlucks, and parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • ½ cup buffalo wing sauce, divided
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • ½ cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions, for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons buffalo wing sauce (extra, for swirling on top)
  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for the white web lines)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and ½ cup of buffalo wing sauce. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  3. Fold in the shredded chicken, ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and the crumbled blue cheese (if using). Stir until evenly distributed.
  4. Spoon the mixture into an 8×8 baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  6. Drizzle the extra 2 tablespoons of buffalo wing sauce in a spiral pattern over the cheese, starting from the center and working outward.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese in a thin line over the buffalo sauce spiral, following the spiral.
  8. Take a butter knife or toothpick and drag it from the center outward to the edges, like spokes on a wheel, spacing them about an inch apart. Repeat 8-10 times around the dish.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the dip is hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted. For a browner top, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end.
  10. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and shred your own cheese. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes after baking to firm up. The spiderweb pattern is created by drizzling extra buffalo sauce in a spiral, adding mozzarella cheese on top, and dragging a knife from the center outward.
