Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large cantaloupe or orange melon
  • 2 green apples (Granny Smith)
  • 1 red apple (Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 1 cup green grapes (seedless)
  • 1 cup red grapes (seedless)
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (hulled and halved)
  • 1 small pineapple (cored and cut into bite-sized chunks)
  • 1 mango (peeled and diced)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
  • 1 celery stick or pretzel stick (for pumpkin stem)
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (pure)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Make the honey yogurt dip: In a small mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 days ahead).
  2. Prep the cantaloupe pumpkin: Cut cantaloupe in half and scoop out seeds. Use a melon baller to scoop 20-25 perfect balls. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  3. Prepare the apples: Core and slice green apples into thin wedges (for pumpkin leaves). Dice red apple into bite-sized cubes. Toss with lemon juice if prepping ahead to prevent browning.
  4. Prep remaining fruit: Wash and dry all berries thoroughly. Cut strawberries in half. Dice pineapple and mango into small, uniform pieces.
  5. Arrange the pumpkin base: On a large platter, arrange cantaloupe balls in a pumpkin shape (circle about 8 inches wide). Leave a small empty circle in the center for the dip bowl.
  6. Add pumpkin details: Place celery stick or pretzel stick at the top for the stem. Arrange green apple slices around the stem and edges to look like vines and leaves.
  7. Fill in with other fruit: Around the pumpkin, arrange rows of green grapes, red grapes, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, and mango. Alternate colors for visual appeal.
  8. Nestle the dip bowl: Place a small serving bowl in the center of the pumpkin. Spoon chilled honey yogurt dip into the bowl. Drizzle with extra honey and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
  9. Garnish and serve: Tuck fresh mint leaves around the edges of the platter. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready.

Notes

Make the dip up to 2 days ahead for best flavor. Dry fruit thoroughly to prevent sliding. Use a dark platter for best color contrast. For dairy-free, use thick coconut yogurt and maple syrup instead of honey.
