A quick, healthy snack featuring lean turkey, creamy avocado, and fresh spinach wrapped in a soft tortilla. Perfect for busy days and packed with protein and healthy fats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large flour tortilla (8-inch, whole wheat preferred)
  • 6 ounces lean sliced turkey breast (nitrate-free if possible)
  • 1 medium ripe avocado, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons low-fat cream cheese (plain or herb-flavored)
  • A handful fresh spinach leaves (about 20 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill or fresh chopped herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse spinach leaves and pat dry. Slice avocado thinly and toss with lemon juice to prevent browning. Set aside.
  2. Lay out one flour tortilla on a clean surface. Spread a thin, even layer of cream cheese over the entire surface, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges.
  3. Layer the turkey breast evenly over the cream cheese.
  4. Distribute spinach leaves evenly over the turkey. Arrange the lemon-coated avocado slices on top. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and dried dill or fresh herbs if using.
  5. Roll the tortilla tightly but gently from one edge, keeping ingredients tucked in.
  6. Wrap the rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap or parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  7. Using a sharp serrated knife, slice the roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels. Arrange on a plate and serve.

Notes

Use ripe but firm avocados to avoid soggy wraps. Chilling the wrap before slicing helps maintain shape and makes slicing easier. Warm tortillas briefly if cracking occurs. Use a serrated knife for clean slices.
