A quick and easy summer dessert featuring grilled peaches drizzled with honey and served with creamy vanilla ice cream. Perfect for backyard barbecues and crowd-pleasing gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium fresh peaches, ripe but firm
  • 2 tablespoons honey (preferably raw or local)
  • About 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat, about 375–400°F (190–200°C).
  2. Wash the peaches thoroughly and pat dry. Slice each peach in half and remove the pit.
  3. Brush each peach half lightly with olive oil on the cut side. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon if using.
  4. Place the peach halves cut side down on the grill. Cook undisturbed for 4–5 minutes until golden-brown grill marks appear and flesh softens.
  5. Flip the peaches carefully with tongs and grill the skin side for another 3 minutes.
  6. Remove peaches from the grill and place cut side up on serving plates.
  7. Drizzle honey generously over the warm peaches.
  8. Serve immediately topped with vanilla ice cream scoops and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
  9. Enjoy right away for the best contrast of warm peaches and cold ice cream.

Notes

Use firm peaches to prevent them from falling apart on the grill. Brush with olive oil to avoid sticking and promote caramelization. Keep grilled peaches warm in a low oven if serving a crowd. For dairy-free, substitute vanilla ice cream with coconut or almond-based alternatives. Fresh mint adds a nice garnish and flavor contrast.
