These cozy turkey cranberry sliders on Hawaiian rolls are the ultimate comfort food—soft, buttery rolls filled with juicy turkey, tangy cranberry sauce, and melty Swiss cheese, all brushed with a savory garlic butter. Perfect for using up leftovers or creating a quick, crowd-pleasing meal in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (one standard pack)
  • 1 pound cooked turkey, shredded or thinly sliced
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese (or provolone)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Keep the 12 Hawaiian rolls connected as a single slab. Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the entire slab in half horizontally, so you have one top section and one bottom section. Place the bottom half in the greased baking dish.
  3. Arrange the shredded or sliced turkey evenly over the bottom layer of rolls.
  4. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the turkey and gently spread it into a thin layer.
  5. Place Swiss cheese slices evenly over the cranberry and turkey, tearing or folding to cover as much surface area as possible.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese, pressing down gently. Separate the individual rolls slightly—about ½ inch apart.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  8. Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls, getting the sides and gaps between them. Sprinkle poppy seeds evenly on top.
  9. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the edges are crispy.
  11. Let the sliders rest in the pan for 5 minutes before cutting between the rolls. Serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use day-old rolls to prevent sogginess. Warm the cranberry sauce slightly for easier spreading. Don’t skip the foil covering—it prevents the tops from burning before the cheese melts. Let sliders rest 5 minutes before cutting to help them hold together. If turkey is dry, mix with a tablespoon of melted butter before assembling.
