This creamy loaded buffalo chicken dip with ranch drizzle is a happy accident turned into a crave-worthy recipe. It combines spicy buffalo sauce, creamy cheese, and a cool, herby ranch drizzle for the perfect party dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing (for drizzle)
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While it’s heating, take the cream cheese out of the fridge to soften.
  2. Shred the chicken. If using rotisserie chicken, remove the skin and bones, then shred the meat with two forks. You should have about 2 cups.
  3. Make the dip base. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, and 1/2 cup ranch dressing. Whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Add the cheeses and chicken. Fold in the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and shredded chicken. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Transfer to baking dish. Spread the mixture evenly into your greased 9×13 baking dish. Use a spatula to smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Place the dish in the preheated oven. Bake until the dip is hot and bubbly around the edges. The top should be golden brown in spots.
  7. Make the ranch drizzle. While the dip bakes, whisk together the remaining 1/4 cup ranch dressing, milk, dried dill, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
  8. Finish and serve. Remove the dip from the oven. Let it cool for 2-3 minutes. Drizzle the ranch mixture over the top in a zigzag pattern. Sprinkle with sliced green onions. Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crusty bread.

Notes

Let the dip rest for 2-3 minutes after baking to allow it to set. For a deeper golden crust, broil for the last 2 minutes. The dip can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated. Add 5 extra minutes to baking time if starting cold.
